Chasing Fate
About the Chasing Fate project
Our ambition for this project entitled Chasing Fate was to enable 80 young people from Dudley, Sandwell, Telford and Wrekin and Walsall to contribute to the artistic process of the project.
Working with a production team of the highest calibre the young people helped to produce a brand new piece of musical theatre based around their lives and experiences, exploring the relationships, trials and dreams of a group of teenagers caught up in inner city street life.
The young people involved grabbed hold of the opportunities offered to them and in the process helped to create an unforgettable moving and exhilarating performance at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
Workshops
Young people have demonstrated commitment to the project by attending weekly workshops.
Rehearsals
Professional artists delived master classes at the workshops and through this collaborative experience have created their own art installations around the town of Halesowen.
Musical Theatre Performance
An exhibition including images of artwork will be created by and in collaboration with the participants using their input and photos/images of the project.
